Guild Motto

Post your ideas or thoughts on what the guild motto should be.

We might vote, sometime in the future, on the one that we'll use for the guild.


Here's mine:
The Force is not our master,
It is a tool that we can exploit,
With it we can control our destiny,
And those of others who cannot...
With the Force,
Comes not responsibility,
But the power to be freed.

I like yours...im not much of a creative type of person in that aspect but i can think of ways to make yours better. Ill get back to you if anything comes up. good work! LOL well i just thought..maybe its not good. but we can just change "lives" to destiny? Does it sound more virtuous?

(The path that we see fit)

I like yours Malta, but it just sounds too much like the Sith Code and I wanted to stray away from that to keep it unique.

The more I think about, the more I wonder if in addition to an overall motto, should all of the individual usergroups have there own unique motto?

Guild Motto
True Sith are forged in the fires of war

Not a 100%, but its a work in progress

Ideas of "This line dosn't fit well", "What if you tried this", "Try putting this here", etc, would be helpful

Instead of posting a new motto every time I make a change, I will just edit this one to help prevent having dozens of slightly diffrent tries...

Army Motto
We go where few dare to tread
We never fall back until ordered
We fight with unmached detemenation
We purifiy our strengh with battle
We fight alongside our bretheren to build our power
We combine our power to forge our path
The path of the True Sith

I plan to set up diffrent beginings with the diffrent branches of our guild, and have the last two or so lines be identical, in order to tie all of them to main motto, it will take time though...

Through passion i gain streangth.
Through streangth i gain power.
Through power i gain victory.
Through victory my chains are broken.
The force shall free me.

I only think this should be our motto is because it is the sith code and that if bioware made it and we are the TRUE Sith then why not use it. Also it's in a way easy to remeber if you can memorize things easly.

Yes, but it is not original. I want something to be our own. Something that a Sith Apprentice can recite to be promoted to Sith Lord, when he has passed his final test or something...

Correct me if I'm wrong but that Sith Code appeared in KotOR 1 first not KotOR 2. And its not really a motto is it, is a code that in a RP sense all the Sith Lords are bound by anway. Also bare in mind we're not all Sith - I'm a Intel Agent.

A Sith is much more than a Dark Jedi though... plus a Jedi serves the Force whilst the force serves a Sith

I don't really like this one personally but I will keep thinking. I am thinking these off the top of my head.

Eh, I don't think the guild motto should be a long strung out thing like the actual sith motto I think it should be something short and sweet like a one liner sentence that carries a lot of meaning with it.

A motto does tend to be very short, some real life ones include:

• Who dares wins. - SAS
  
  
• Si vis pacem, para bellum - aka - If you desire peace, prepare for war - Royal Navy
  
  
• United in diversity - European Union
  
  
• Fear God and honour the Queen - Fiji
  
  
• One people, one country, one leader - Nazi Germany
  
  
• Liberty, equality, fraternity - France
  
  
  

All these carry allot of meaning with it as Notoc explained and they are all very short.

I know that the this topic is titled Guild Motto, but what would yall think about each branch creating their own Motto?

Short ones are great.

That sounds like it coul0d be interesting, kind of like each section of the guild is it's own guild but were all together so collectively were The True Sith.

We are the TrueSith
or maybe for a single (this sounds like the sith code but diffrent words would that work)
